ABOUT US

The company Kontamine, created in September, 2014 in Montpellier, is a contemporary dance company. She works in the field of the gestural art by opening to the theatrical world. Themes approached on her creations concern social subjects, the current society being a big source of inspiration by its extreme and lightning difference. She also approaches the notion of multicultural sharing, by the fact of meetings of any horizons and the international artistic collaborations.

Through the creation and the representation, we hope to emphasize our art, to contaminate the public by the dancing bug, to transmit and to get in touch with him. In this way, we develop a work of raising sensitization by proposing workshops of creation, public rehearsals, but also interventions for educational purposes. In this context, we work regularly with « Maisons pour tous » (sociocultural places), dancing schools and schools.

The company benefits from the support of La Zouze company – Christophe Haleb in Marseille with ” La résidence dans les parages “, « L’Abri » (space for young talent) in Geneva, the theater D22 in Istanbul, « La Plus Petite Galerie du Monde, (OU PRESQUE) in Roubaix, the City of Montpellier, Orchestra Studio in Marseille (artist residencies), « L’atelier des arts » in Marseille, and the University of Caen where the art directors did their choreographer’s training course.
